Dangerous Goods Notice

Certain items and substances are classified as Dangerous Goods (DG) or Hazardous Materials (HazMat) and may be restricted, require special packaging/documentation, or be prohibited from transport by air, ocean, or ground carriers under applicable international regulations including IATA, ICAO, IMDG, and carrier policies.

Customers Must Declare

Customers are required to fully declare any shipment containing potentially hazardous, restricted, regulated, or dangerous materials before tendering cargo to AM Shipping Solution Ltd.

Failure to properly declare Dangerous Goods may result in:

  • Shipment refusal
  • Delays or cancellations
  • Carrier penalties or government fines
  • Cargo seizure or destruction
  • Additional handling charges
  • Legal liability

Common Restricted or Dangerous Goods

The following items may require special approval, documentation, packaging, labeling, or may be prohibited entirely depending on the mode of transport and destination:

Lithium Batteries & Electronics

  • Lithium-ion batteries
  • Lithium metal batteries
  • Power banks
  • E-bikes / scooters
  • Battery-powered tools or equipment
  • Damaged or recalled batteries

Lithium batteries are regulated under IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and some battery types are forbidden on passenger aircraft.


Flammable & Combustible Materials

  • Paints
  • Solvents
  • Fuels
  • Alcohol-based products
  • Nail polish
  • Perfumes
  • Adhesives
  • Cleaning chemicals

Many cosmetics and aerosol products may be classified as flammable dangerous goods for air transport.


Aerosols & Pressurized Containers

  • Spray cans
  • Compressed gas cylinders
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Propane containers

Certain aerosols and compressed gases are restricted or prohibited for transport.


Corrosive & Chemical Products

  • Acids
  • Bleach
  • Industrial chemicals
  • Mercury-containing items
  • Battery acid

Corrosive substances may damage cargo, containers, equipment, or aircraft systems.


Prohibited or Highly Restricted Items

The following items are generally prohibited or subject to strict regulatory control:

  • Explosives or fireworks
  • Ammunition
  • Radioactive materials
  • Toxic substances
  • Biohazardous or infectious substances
  • Illegal or undeclared hazardous cargo

Customer Responsibility

The shipper is solely responsible for:

  • Properly identifying and declaring dangerous goods
  • Providing required Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) when applicable
  • Ensuring compliant packaging, labeling, and documentation
  • Complying with all carrier and government regulations

AM Shipping Solution Ltd reserves the right to:

  • Refuse any shipment
  • Inspect cargo
  • Request additional documentation
  • Repackage or isolate cargo when necessary
  • Report undeclared dangerous goods to applicable authorities or carriers

Important Notice

Undeclared Dangerous Goods may create serious safety risks for:

  • Aircraft and vessels
  • Warehouses and transport vehicles
  • Personnel and the public
